That photographer sitting in the dirt trackside at CLASS Schools is me - Ian Donald - and my job is to capture interesting images of your day - whether you ride like Kenny Roberts ... or Julia...

In addition to shooting Reg's CLASS Schools from coast to coast, I work regularly at Infineon & Laguna Seca Raceways in California and I have been photographing "stuff that moves fast" of one sort or another for over 35 years - during that time I have shot most of the major motorsports series - including Formula 1, MotoGP, NASCAR, IRL, CART, AMA, WSB, NHRA & ALMS.
I am a member of the National Press Photographers Association, Canon Professional Services, Nikon Professional Services, and Editorial Photographers.
I am based in the California Delta about 30 miles east of the beautiful - but utterly dysfunctional - City of San Francisco...

My "day job" often involves mundane stuff like P.R., Aerial or Architectural Photography but I also shoot motorsports-related events for customers nationwide. Some of my recent clients include: Yokohama Tire, Toyota, ESPN, Infineon Technologies, CSAA, Marriott, Speedway Motorsports Inc, SEMA, Penske, DP Brakes, Jim Russell Racing School, Alltel & Bank of the West.

My photography has been used in National Advertising Campaigns, in Annual Reports for NYSE-listed Companies, has appeared on magazine covers, corporate websites, trade show displays and has been published in a wide variety of media including:
"Newsweek", "Penthouse", "Racer", "du Pont Registry", "Cycle World", "The Robb Report", "Autosport", "Wine Country Living", "Automundo", "Popular Hot Rodding", "Rider", "Bimmer", "Super Street", "Roundel", "600 Magazine", "European Car", "Grassroots Motorsports", "5.0 and Super Fords", "Tire Review", the "Sacramento Bee", the "San Jose Mercury News", the "Oakland Tribune" and the "San Francisco Chronicle".
My Aerial Photography was used by the TV Show "Worst Case Scenario" and my motorcycle photography is featured in Reg's terrific new book: "Smooth Riding - the Pridmore Way"

I use a mix of Canon, Hasselblad, Mamiya & Nikon cameras in my business - both Film & Digital - but for your images at CLASS Schools I use Canon EOS "1" series Digital cameras & lenses exclusively. Your CLASS photo CDs and prints are made in-house in a digital lab equipped with Dual-Processor Macs, and professional-quality printers.

Reg first asked me to shoot his Schools 6 years ago and the CLASS Schools are the only "trackdays" I make time for in a busy schedule - Reg, Gigi and the whole CLASS Team do a superb job of making your day at the track safe, educational and fun.
I enjoy "going to CLASS" - so will you...
